Vienna's viennacontemporary and Parallel Vienna Art Fairs Open for 2025 Edition
From September 11 to 15, 2025, Vienna will be the venue for two significant contemporary art fairs: viennacontemporary at Messe Wien and Parallel Vienna at Otto Wagner Areal. The artistic director of viennacontemporary, Abaseh Mirvali, oversees around 100 exhibitors from 25 nations, addressing topics such as algorithmic disinformation and migration. The fair includes curated sections like Zone1, Statement (by Marcella Beccaria), and Context (by Samantha Ozer), featuring prominent artists such as Ulrike Müller, ACB Gallery, and Galerie Krinzinger. Meanwhile, Parallel Vienna will convert pavilions 7 and 13 of a former psychiatric hospital into artistic venues, showcasing sections like Artist Statements and Sculpture Park, with notable contributions from Galerie Rudolf Leeb and a posthumous exhibit by Christoph Schlingensief.
