Vienna's Spring 2026 Exhibition Season Features Canaletto, Courbet, and Climate Biennale

The cultural agenda for spring 2026 in Vienna includes eight significant exhibitions. At the Kunsthistorisches Museum, visitors can view 32 pieces by Canaletto and Bernardo Bellotto, featuring 'Il Bacino di San Marco da San Giorgio Maggiore' (1735/44) from the Wallace Collection in London. The Leopold Museum will present Gustave Courbet's first comprehensive retrospective in Austria, with contributions from Musée d'Orsay. The Albertina will host around 200 works by Honoré Daumier, marking the first major exhibition in nearly ninety years. The 'Animalia' exhibition from the Heidi Horten Collection features approximately 90 pieces. KunstHausWien's Vienna Climate Biennale 2026 will delve into the cultural importance of seeds. Superflux's installations will be displayed at the Weltmuseum Wien. The Dom Museum Wien will show 'Alles in Arbeit,' while Albertina Klosterneuburg's 'Donated with Love' will feature works from the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation. These exhibitions will be available from late spring through autumn 2026.
