festival-fair · 2026-04-27

In September 2020, Vienna's vibrant cultural landscape tentatively resumes activities with an exciting lineup. Among the new additions are the MQ Libelle, situated above the Leopold Museum, and the renovated Freud Museum at Berggasse 19. The Ars Electronica Festival, taking place from September 9 to 13, will showcase 'Immersify – The translucent St. Stephens Cathedral,' a 360° laser scan streamed live, supported by EU Horizon 2020. A curated exhibition runs until September 26, featuring 24 galleries and overseen by curators Emily Watlington and Chiara Vecchiarelli. Vienna Contemporary, scheduled for September 24 to 27, will present under 70 galleries from 16 nations, led by Johanna Chromik. Additionally, Parallel Vienna, from September 22 to 27, will display gallery and project statements in a former chamber of commerce, while Vienna Design Week, directed by Lilli Hollein, occurs from September 25 to October 4.
