Vienna's Autumn Art Season: Raphael and Rubens Exhibitions at Albertina and KHM

Vienna's autumn art season is packed with events, including the Vienna Art Week (November 13–19) themed "Transforming Technology," the Art&Antique fair at Hofburg (November 4–12), and major exhibitions at the Albertina and Kunsthistorisches Museum. At the Albertina, a Raphael exhibition (until January 7, 2018) curated by Achim Gnann features 18 paintings and numerous drawings, including the loaned portrait of Bindo Altoviti from the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The museum also presents "Bruegel – Drawing the World" (until December 3) and the permanent Batliner Collection "Monet to Picasso." At the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Rubens exhibition "The Power of Transformation" (until January 21, 2018) curated by Gerlinde Gruber, Stefan Weppelmann, and Jochen Sander displays 120 works, including loans from major museums and 40 from the KHM's own collection, alongside works by Titian, Tintoretto, and Giambologna. Other ongoing events include the Vienna Design Week 2017, the Curated by tour, and the Long Night of Museums with 126 venues in Vienna and 670 across Austria.
