Vienna Art Week 2017: 5 Alternative Artist-Run Spaces
Running until November 19, the 2017 Vienna Art Week emphasizes alternative artist-run venues located in the city's fifth district. Featured are five spaces: Kunstraum SUPER, established in 2013 by Rainer Stadlbauer and Andreas Perkmann Berger, which displays 'Conditio Spatiale Plus, Der Zusammenbruch Des Protokoll' by Bianca Pedrina, Markus Zeber, and Perkmann Berger. Sehsaal showcases 'Floor, wall, body' by Herbert Hofer, with an upcoming exhibition by Carlo Galli. Founded in 2009 by Gudrun Wallenböck, Hinterland presents 'Attokoussy' focused on Moroccan rituals. Pina, which debuted in February under Claudia Charlotte Linder and others, features 'In Hours' by Laurids Oder and Jumpei Shimada. Wellwellwell, a nonprofit since March 2014, displays 'Constellation' by Karine Fauchard and others.
