VIE Festival Returns to Emilia Romagna with International Lineup and VR

The VIE festival's 16th edition is taking place until October 16 in Modena, Bologna, Cesena, and Vignola, showcasing international talents from Morocco, Lebanon, Greece, Poland, Germany, Spain, and Italy. This autumn marks the inaugural season under artistic director Valter Malosti, focusing on themes of peace and the climate crisis. Notable features include four national debuts: 'Elephant' by Bouchra Ouizguen, 'Opening Night' from La Veronal, a solo performance by Lorena Nogal, and Susanne Kennedy's 'I AM (VR)'. Additionally, Italy's Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli presents 'Il Ministero della Solitudine', while Anagoor and Krystian Lupa showcase 'Imagine'. The festival also launches 'Prospero Extended Theatre', a digital platform with recordings subtitled in nine languages to foster shared European culture.
