Video Sound Art Festival 2024: Houses : Homes invades Milan's Lodi Corvetto district
From October 24 to 27, 2024, the 14th Video Sound Art Festival will take place in the Lodi Corvetto district of Milan, focusing on the theme "Houses: Homes." Curated by Laura Lamonea and Erica Petrillo, the festival will transform unique spaces like a bakery and a bicycle workshop into art exhibition sites. Artists from Italy and beyond, including Arash Fayez, Adele Dipasquale, and Martha Rosler, will display their works in street-visible windows and interiors, with nighttime access for some. Partnering with the San Luigi in Festa committee, the festival aims to revive artist studios that have been inactive since 2019 and tackle issues like gentrification. Reservations are needed for free entry, especially with the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in the area.
