Video Sound Art Festival 2019 at Milan's Liceo Volta
The ninth installment of Video Sound Art, established in 2011, will take place at Liceo Scientifico Volta in Milan from November 28 to December 1, 2019. This event is backed by the Municipality of Milan, the Lombardy Region, the Consulate General of Germany, and the Hellenic Cultural Foundation of Italy. It showcases 12 international artists who delve into the theme of 'the remainder' (il resto), a concept referenced by curator Laura Lamonea, inspired by Jacques Derrida. Among the participating artists are Letizia Cariello and Oli Bonzanigo. Additionally, winners of the Open Call 2019, Caterina Gobbi and Cecilia Mentasti, led a workshop on Sicilian stucco techniques. The music lineup includes experimental acts and a hip hop contest on December 1, featuring Caterina Gobbi, Bob Corsi, Radio Raheem, and HLMNS RA.
