Video game R-Tales lets you explore Ravenna's monumental cemetery

The collective Panda Project (Beatrice Cevolani, Delia Trice, Hendry Proni) has launched Cimitero dal Vivo, a project that includes urban and digital games set in the Cimitero Monumentale di Ravenna. The game, called R-Tales, features four missions covering Ravenna's history: the discovery of Dante's bones, the establishment of Italy's first superintendency and the first law for landscape protection, a quarrel between conductor Angelo Mariani and Giuseppe Verdi, and Ravenna's role in Garibaldi's escape after the fall of the Roman Republic in 1849. The project is produced by Panda Project, with Sguardi in Camera handling interviews, Spazi Indecisi creating the graphic identity and map, and Davide Leone working with Frame Lab on the dramaturgical path for the game on the U'Game platform. U'Game, funded by the former Fondazione Telecom Italia in late 2015, allows city exploration through urban games via an app. The project is under the patronage of the Comune di Ravenna, Assessorato alla Cultura, and is a winner of the PNRR TOCC (Transizione digitale Organismi Culturali e Creativi) funded by the European Union, Next Generation EU. Testing of R-Tales will take place from March 21 to 23, 2024, from 15:00 to 17:30. In 2021, the horror game Nott Longa by Amhardcore was also set in the same area.
