Video Game '11-11: Memories Retold' Draws on 19th-Century Painting

The video game '11-11: Memories Retold' is a collaboration between Bandai Namco Entertainment, DigixArt, and Aardman Animations. Set during World War I, it follows two protagonists: Kurt, a German father searching for his missing son, and Harry, a young Canadian idealist seeking adventure. The game's visual style is inspired by Romantic and Impressionist painters William Turner, Édouard Manet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, achieved with the help of concept artist Giorgio Grecu. The characters are voiced by actors Elijah Wood (Harry) and Sebastian Koch (Kurt). The game is scheduled for release on November 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
