Victoria Miro launches digital gallery platform LIVE/ARCHIVE
Victoria Miro, a London gallery marking its 40th anniversary since its first Cork Street location opened in 1985 and expanding to Venice in 2017, has introduced LIVE/ARCHIVE, a digital platform accessible at live.victoria-miro.com. This innovative platform employs 3D modeling, augmented reality, and virtual reality to offer virtual exhibition tours, access to archives, and unique insights from artists, all while aiming to minimize carbon emissions and connect with a worldwide audience. Created by Vortic, which was established in 2016 by Oliver Miro, the platform leverages XR technologies for gallery operations. It features over 70 exhibitions from the last six years, with new shows debuting alongside physical events. A current exhibition in Venice runs until September 6.
