Victor Burgin to Screen and Discuss a Film at Afterall Film Club
Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 9, 2013, because the eighth session of the Afterall Film Club is happening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Victor Burgin, a distinguished artist and theorist, will showcase a film he has chosen, followed by a full screening and a discussion. Burgin is known for his role as Professor Emeritus of History of Consciousness at UC Santa Cruz and his position as Emeritus Millard Chair of Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. He splits his time between Somerset and Paris. The club meets seven times a year, and past speakers include Laura Mulvey and Mark Leckey.
