Viasaterna pairs Alessandro Teoldi and Marion Baruch in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Galleria Viasaterna in Milan continues its series of joint projects pairing artists of different generations and practices. The exhibition juxtaposes Alessandro Teoldi (born 1987) and Marion Baruch (born 1929 in Romania). Teoldi, presenting his first solo show in Italy, creates works from airline blankets, stitching faces, hands, and figures that hover between figuration and abstraction. The cheap fabric addresses themes of distance and abandonment. Baruch, by contrast, uses scraps from tailoring industries to produce compositions exploring emptiness through cuts and tears.
