Verne Arquitectura Designs Fronton and Multipurpose Space in Medieval Navarrese Village

Spanish firm Verne Arquitectura has completed a fronton (pelota court) and multipurpose space in Aguilar de Codés, a medieval village in Navarra, Spain. The project, designed by principal architects Víctor Larripa, Daniel Ruiz de Gordejuela, Javier Martínez, and Alejandro Maortua, covers 800 square meters and was completed in 2024. The building integrates into its complex urban site in the village center, serving both as a sports facility and a flexible community space. Structural engineering was provided by Josep Agustí, with civil engineering by ATEC. Photographs of the project were taken by Pablo Garcia Esparza. The design responds to the village's historic character while offering modern amenities for sports and community activities.
