Verdena and Iosonouncane Release Collaborative Split EP
Italian indie rock band Verdena and singer-songwriter Iosonouncane (Jacopo Incani) released a collaborative split EP on September 2, 2016, via Universal. The project, announced in June 2016, features four tracks: Iosonouncane reinterprets Verdena's 'Diluvio' and 'Identikit' from their double album 'Endkadenz' (2015), while Verdena covers Iosonouncane's 'Tanca' and 'Carne' from his album 'DIE' (2016). The vinyl edition was limited to 1,500 copies and sold out immediately. The EP maintains the original song structures but transforms them through each artist's distinct style: Iosonouncane's versions emphasize electronic textures and atmospheric depth, while Verdena's renditions infuse the songs with post-rock guitar work and raw energy. The collaboration highlights the strength of the Italian independent music scene.
