Verde Prato: Urban Ecology Exhibition at Centro Pecci

The exhibition 'Verde Prato. Sperimentazioni urbane tra ecologia e riuso' at Centro Pecci in Prato presents the city's Urban Plan (Piano Operativo) through an accessible visual display. Curated by Elisa Cristiana Cattaneo and Emilia Giorgi, the show is part of the center's thirtieth-anniversary program. It features a tripartite structure—Ecology, Re-Use, Going Public—with a scaffolding display by Fosbury Architecture. Key installations include Stefano Mancuso's 'Urban Jungle' and the interactive 'Braided Landscapes'. The exhibition also references the historical 'Laboratorio di Prato' (1976-1978) led by Luca Ronconi and Gae Aulenti, and includes photographic works by Delfino Sisto Legnani, Fernando Guerra, and Maurizio Montagna documenting the local Chinese community and urban greenery. The Urban Plan, adopted in September 2018, incorporates contributions from architect Stefano Boeri and scientist Stefano Mancuso on urban forestry, and results from the participatory program 'Prato al Futuro'. The exhibition aims to demystify urban planning for the public.
