Venice Hosts Major Renaissance Sculpture Exhibition at Ca' d'Oro

The Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca' d'Oro in Venice is currently featuring an exhibition titled "From Donatello to Alessandro Vittoria, 1450 – 1600. 150 Years of Sculpture in the Republic of Venice." This is the first major showcase dedicated to Venetian sculpture. Curated by Toto Bergamo Rossi from Venetian Heritage and the gallery's director Claudia Cremonini, the exhibit runs until October 30. It includes works by renowned artists like Donatello, Antonio Rizzo, and Jacopo Sansovino, with loans from various institutions and private collections, including the Galleria Estense di Modena. Sponsored by Venetian Heritage, it aligns with the Venice Biennale, and afterward, Ca' d'Oro will undergo extensive restoration funded by the same organization.
