Venice Glass Week 2024: 250+ Events Across Venice, Murano, Mestre
The eighth Venice Glass Week is set to take place from September 14 to 22, 2024, across Venice, Murano, and Mestre. Since its inception in 2017, the festival has grown to include 230 participants and over 250 events, with the hashtag #AWorldofGlass symbolizing worldwide engagement from more than 300 applications spanning 45 nations. This year's highlights feature a collaboration with Homo Faber at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini (running until September 30) and Glass Bateo, a unique floating exhibition. Key venues include Palazzo Loredan, which will display 25 pieces by master glassmakers and 18 by emerging artists. Noteworthy exhibits comprise Sayed Waked's glass cubes and Jiemin Park's lunar-inspired creations, alongside local galleries focusing on sustainability and social issues through glass art.
