Venice Glass Week 2019: New Prize, Hub, and Nomad Fair

The Venice Glass Week's third edition, acknowledged as a "Grande Evento" by the Veneto Region, is set to take place from September 7 to 15, 2019, across Venice, Murano, and Mestre. This year, over 180 events will be organized by 150 different entities, with original projects required. Notably, T Fondaco dei Tedeschi will collaborate with the women’s prison on Giudecca Island. The festival hub at Palazzo Franchetti will host the €1,000 Bonhams Prize ceremony on September 11. Free tours will be available at the Centro Studi del Vetro from September 9 to 13. Additionally, the Giornate di studio sul vetro veneziano will occur from September 9 to 11, while Nomad Venice will run from September 5 to 8, and Murano Glass Weekend will follow from September 13 to 15.
