Venice Galleries View: Nine Galleries Unite for Biennale Weekend

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Venice celebrated its first Venice Galleries View from November 24 to 25, 2017, aligning with the final days of the Venice Biennale. This initiative was led by a coalition of women-run galleries such as A plus A, Alberta Pane, and Victoria Miro, with the goal of enriching the city’s contemporary art scene. Visitors were provided with a printed map to navigate through various galleries and cultural sites. Key attractions included a performance by the Tommaso Genovesi Quartet at Massimodeluca and an art showcase titled "Venezia Icon" by Chuck Freedman and Zohar Kawaharada, alongside guided tours on the last day.
