Venice Biennale posts record surplus of €2.8 million for 2019 Art Edition

The Venice Biennale announced a net profit of €2.8 million from the 2019 Art Edition, overseen by Ralph Rugoff, bringing total reserves to around €5.6 million. The overall production value increased from €33 million in 2007 to €48 million in 2019, marking a 45% rise. Ticket sales soared by 125%, reaching €11.7 million, which accounted for 60% of expenses.
