Venice Biennale 2026 Debuts First Official Cocktail 'The Reflection'

other · 2026-05-08

For La Biennale Arte 2026, the Venice Biennale has unveiled its inaugural official cocktail, named The Reflection. Crafted by Mattia Cilia, who heads Sicily's Bartenders LAB Academy, in collaboration with Ludwig Negri and Facundo Gallegos from The St. Regis Venice's Arts Bar, this drink combines Quattro Gatti Gin's Olive Grove expression, fresh lemon juice, hibiscus syrup, and pink grapefruit soda. Initially, Cilia planned to use the Classico version but inadvertently opted for Olive Grove in Rome, leading to the final creation. The cocktail is available at select locations in Venice and on Biennale grounds. Cilia describes it as refreshing for a warm Italian summer, with floral notes from hibiscus and grapefruit soda reminiscent of a Venetian sunset. The concept, developed with Quattro Gatti Gin's founders, aims to embody Venice's spirit—reflecting its waters, art, and cocktails. Cilia, a former bartender at London’s Milk & Honey, trains around 100 bartenders each year at his academy.
