Venice Architecture Biennale 2016: Meetings on Architecture with Foster, Koolhaas

The 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale is showcasing 'Meetings on Architecture', which consists of six informal conferences running from May through November. These events will happen monthly at the Piccolo Arsenale and Teatro alle Tese, tackling important issues like Infrastructure, Peripheries, Materials, Scarcity, Environment, and Conflict. Some key speakers include Norman Foster, Rem Koolhaas, Andrew Makin, and Shigeru Ban, among others. Alejandro Aravena, the Biennale director, mentioned that these gatherings, organized with Rolex, aim to foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Additionally, there will be a special project at Forte Marghera and a London School of Economics initiative curated by Ricky Burdett, along with the Urban Age conference 'Shaping Cities: Conflicts Of An Urban Age' on July 14-15.
