Venezuelan Women Artists Unite in 'FOUR, AFTER ALL' at Throughline, Houston
Throughline in Houston presents 'FOUR, AFTER ALL,' a group exhibition featuring four Venezuelan women artists: Luisa Duarte, Carolina Otero, Gabriela Gamboa, and Toña Vega. The show runs from April 4 to May 3, 2026, and includes works across paper, video, sculpture, and mixed media. The artists explore memory, territory, and shifting energies, treating material as witness and archive. Duarte, based in Houston, creates geometric forms and layered structures; Otero, a Venezuelan-American, uses automatic drawing and chance-driven collage; Gamboa addresses displacement through performance, video, and photography; Vegas incorporates photography, collage, and mosaic. The exhibition is part of Glasstire's Five-Minute Tours video series, with a walk-through filmed by Beatriz Bellorín and Diana-Sofia Estrada.
