exhibition · 2026-04-26

There's an exciting project called 'Con gli occhi del Duomo' that’s showcasing the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano’s massive photographic collection, which has over 90,000 images dating from the late 1800s to now. This initiative, led by the Area Cultura e Conservazione with expert Massimo Negri, is set to launch on April 23, 2024. The first exhibition, titled 'RITRATTO DUOMO. Storia fotografica della Cattedrale e della sua Fabbrica,' will run until July 23 at the Museo del Duomo's Sala Gian Galeazzo, featuring both historical and contemporary photos, plus some enhanced by AI. Another exhibition, 'DALLA MEMORIA AL FUTURO,' will take place from April 23 to May 26 along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, displaying large images with informative captions. Tommaso Sacchi, Milan's Culture Councillor, noted the Duomo acts like a museum, while Fedele Confalonieri, president of the Veneranda Fabbrica, highlighted its role in linking different eras.
