Vatican Museums extend evening hours with concert series until October 2023
The Vatican Museums have launched their 2023 evening opening season, running until October 20, featuring late-night access to the collections and a concert series. Director Barbara Jatta highlighted the unique experience of viewing the collections under moonlight and listening to music in historic spaces. Concerts take place in two special venues: the Braccio Nuovo and the Museo Gregoriano Profano, featuring performances by conservatories from cities including Rome, Udine, Aosta, Campobasso, Ravenna, Castelfranco Veneto, Cremona, Cosenza, and Siena. Opening and closing concerts on April 14 and October 20 involve joint performances by the Vatican Gendarmerie Band with the Italian Finance Guard Band and the Italian Army Band respectively.
