Vartweek 2024: Contemporary Art in Varzi's Medieval Caves

There's an exciting event called Vartweek happening in the charming medieval village of Varzi, Oltrepò Pavese, on September 28-29, 2024. Curated by Camilla Previ, this exhibition will feature the works of ten contemporary artists set against the backdrop of historic cellars, blending art with local wine and salami tastings. The goal is to breathe new life into the area by fostering a connection between contemporary art and local traditions. Some of the artists involved include Camilla Alberti, Olivia Bax, and Franco Mazzucchelli, among others. The tastings will be organized by Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese and Consorzio di Tutela del Salame di Varzi, while Previ sees the artworks as symbols of change and renewal.
