Various Others Festival Expands with New Collaboration Prize
Founded in 2018, the Various Others festival in Munich spans ten days and aims to bridge galleries with artist-run spaces. This year, a prize will be presented for the top collaboration between these two types of venues. The festival showcases 39 locations, featuring six artist-run spaces: Eyes Only, GiG Munich, Milchstraße 4, Nebyula / Rosa Stern Space, pip, and Space N.N. Prominent galleries such as Esther Schipper and Hauser & Wirth are also participating. Local institutions like Kunsthalle and Haus der Kunst, under the direction of Andrea Lissoni, are involved. The event includes 60 public activities and a grand dinner on Saturday. Additionally, a still life by Lubin Baugin fetched €440,000 on August 16, 2025, while a Hasselblad camera sold for €32,000 on September 13.
