Vanessa Beecroft's Polaroid Retrospective at Palazzo Reale, Milan

Palazzo Reale in Milan hosts 'Polaroids 1993.2006', a retrospective of Vanessa Beecroft's polaroid works, curated by Alessia Glaviano and part of the first PhotoVogue Festival. The exhibition features 36 enlarged polaroids exploring the female gaze, body image, and beauty standards, juxtaposed with classical art. Beecroft's polaroids, described as a blend of statuary beauty and contemporary visions, reflect narcissistic, voyeuristic, and alienating aspects of Western society. The show runs until November 29, 2016, and marks Beecroft's return to Milan seven years after her VB65 performance at PAC.
