Van Gogh's Bedroom Reconstructed for Milan Fuori Salone

exhibition · 2026-05-05

A full-scale, faithful reconstruction of Vincent van Gogh's 1888 painting 'The Bedroom' will be installed at Casa Museo Spazio Tadini in Milan as part of the Fuori Salone del Mobile. The project, supported by Turin-based furniture company Arredare In (winner of the 2010 Premio Chiave a Stella) and crafted by artisans of the Consorzio S. Luca, recreates the iconic room piece by piece. The exhibition also features two works by Emilio Tadini: his painting 'La camera da letto' (exhibited for seven years at the Casa della Cultura Italiana in Paris) and a piece dedicated to Pampurio, a character from Corriere dei Piccoli. The installation runs from April 1–16, 2017, at via Jommelli 24, Milan. The project highlights Italian craftsmanship and the cultural significance of furniture design.
