Van Gogh Museum Launches Immersive Multimedia Tour in China
The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam has launched 'Meet Vincent van Gogh', a traveling multimedia exhibition that debuted in Beijing on June 15. The project aims to bring the artist's life and work to global audiences who cannot access the original paintings due to conservation and security restrictions. The experience includes interactive elements such as walking through Parisian streets with the painter, sitting at the table of 'The Potato Eaters', touching 3D reproductions of brushstrokes, and jumping on the red bedspread of his bedroom. Visitors can also read his letters and try drawing and painting with real or virtual brushes. After Beijing, the exhibition will tour China through Shanghai, Macao, and Sanya.
