Van Gogh exhibition in Rome sets record with 580,741 visitors
The Van Gogh exhibition at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome, which ran from October to May, attracted 580,741 visitors, making it one of the most visited shows in Italy. Organized by Arthemisia in collaboration with the Kröller-Müller Museum, the exhibition featured works from the collection of Helene Kröller Müller, including lesser-known pieces. Daily attendance exceeded 3,000, causing crowding in Piazza Venezia. Iole Siena, President of Arthemisia, attributed the success to the immersive experience combining artworks with writings, music, videos, and scenography. The show closed after seven months. Upcoming exhibitions at Palazzo Bonaparte include 'SEMBRA VIVO!' hyperrealist sculptures opening May 26, featuring artists like Ron Mueck, Maurizio Cattelan, and Patricia Piccinini, followed by an Escher show in late October.
