Valle d'Aosta joins Abbonamento Musei circuit with 16 new sites
Abbonamento Musei has expanded its network to include Valle d'Aosta, adding 16 new cultural sites accessible with the AM Lombardia or AM Piemonte cards. This move creates a macro-cultural area in northwest Italy, building on the association's 2018 record of one million total admissions. Annual subscriptions range from €50 for adults to €20 for children, with a Formula Extra option covering both Lombardy and Piedmont circuits. Director Simona Ricci stated that the 'all you can visit' model removes psychological barriers to ticket prices, encouraging repeat visits and loyalty. Among the newly included sites are Aosta's Roman landmarks (Arch of Augustus, Porta Praetoria, Roman Theatre, Cryptoporticus), the MAR – Regional Archaeological Museum, the Area Megalitica museum (opened 2016), Castello di Fénis (14th-century with Gothic frescoes), Castello di Issogne (with a pomegranate fountain and frescoed loggia), Castello Reale di Sarre (former Savoy hunting lodge with over 3,000 ibex horns), and Forte di Bard (19th-century fortress with three museum levels). The expansion integrates Valle d'Aosta into the existing Lombardy and Piedmont circuits, offering unlimited free access for 365 days.
