Valerio Berruti installs 'Liberi Tutti' for Arteparco in Abruzzo National Park's centenary

exhibition · 2026-04-27

For the centenary of the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise (PNALM), the Arteparco initiative presents a new permanent site-specific installation by Valerio Berruti. The work, titled 'Liberi Tutti', will be unveiled on July 23, 2022, in Pescasseroli. Arteparco was founded in 2018 by Paride Vitale and is supported by BMW, SkyArte, GORE-TEX, and the Ente Parco and Comune di Pescasseroli. This fifth edition also includes a new partnership with fragrance brand PARCO1923. Berruti's sculpture, approximately three by four meters, depicts a child peering curiously from a giant rock, inspired by the artist's walks in the park's ancient forests. PNALM, established in 1922 and officially recognized in 1923, is Italy's oldest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2017 for its ancient beech forests. It is home to rare species such as the Marsican brown bear and the Apennine chamois.
