Valeria Homayden's Risograph animations reveal hidden patterns in nature

Graphic designer Valeria Homayden has created 'Field Notes for Wonder', a multi-part project combining Risograph animations and a pocket-sized field guide. Inspired by microscopic patterns in rocks, leaves, and moss, the project encourages readers to observe nature closely. The animations were made frame-by-frame using a stencil-based printer, whose imperfections add charm. The field guide includes prompts like 'Go outside and find texture' and is designed for slow engagement with one idea per spread. Homayden aims to help people find inspiration in everyday surroundings. The project was published in 2025.
