exhibition · 2026-04-27

On May 11, 2022, Valentino Garavani, the esteemed founder of Maison Valentino, celebrates his 90th birthday. In honor of this milestone, a dedicated exhibition is set to open at Teatro Sociale in Voghera, featuring his iconic designs from the 1960s through the 2000s, including notable red dresses and sketches. This exhibition will be available for viewing until June 5, 2022. Born on May 11, 1932, in Voghera, Valentino pursued fashion studies in Milan and honed his skills in Paris. His career took off in 1962 with a Vogue France cover at Palazzo Pitti. He famously designed Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding gown in 1968 and retired on September 4, 2007. To commemorate his birthday, Maison Valentino is launching a limited-edition sweatshirt, with proceeds benefiting Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti.
