In 2022, Los Angeles residents Erika and Dan Berlind discovered Masseria Ficazzella in Fasano, Italy, desiring a residence that echoed their personal histories rather than a conventional Italian style. The restoration, completed in 2026, was influenced by two monumental stone arches unearthed during the renovation, which dictated the home's design. The 680-square-metre project was finalized in time for their wedding in September, which hosted 100 attendees. Architects Federica Russo, Nicolò Lewanski, and Domenico Sasso focused on revitalizing the estate, utilizing lime-washed stone and local craftsmanship.
