V&A and Smithsonian to collaborate on new gallery in London's Olympic Park

A new gallery space will be developed through a partnership between the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Smithsonian Institution. This collaborative venue will be part of V&A East, located within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London. Smithsonian secretary David Skorton emphasized that working with the V&A enables the institutions to inspire and educate broader audiences globally. The project forms part of the larger 'Olympicopolis' development, which also includes a new Sadler's Wells theatre, a UCL research branch, and a London College of Fashion campus. By building bridges across countries and continents, the collaboration aims to share their work worldwide.
