Used Porsche 911 Prices Surge 74% Since 2019, iSeeCars Study Finds

A new study by iSeeCars reveals that the average price of a three-year-old Porsche 911 has skyrocketed by 74% over the past seven years, from $132,369 in 2019 to $230,273 today—an increase of $97,904. This jump is the second-highest among vehicles analyzed in the study, which was published on Tuesday. The rise is attributed to several factors, including a general increase in used car prices (up 38.2% on average since 2019) and a significant hike in the starting price of new 911s. In 2019, a three-year-old 911 from the 991 generation started at just under $85,000, whereas today's three-year-old models from the 992.1 generation start at nearly $135,000—a difference of about $50,000. However, this only accounts for half of the price surge. The average used 911 now sells for roughly $100,000 more than its current starting price, suggesting that demand for high-spec variants like the GT3 ($235,800), Turbo S ($270,000), and special editions like the Spirit 70 ($254,300) is driving values upward. The study also highlights other vehicles with significant used price increases, including the Porsche Cayenne SUV (up 75.7% to $88,387), the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (up 72.8% to $172,781), and the BMW M3 (up 62.9% to $80,420). The findings underscore the growing investment potential of modern sports cars, particularly the 911, which has become a coveted asset for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
