Ursus Wehrli organizes autumn leaves into colorful installation in Zurich
Swiss artist, performer, and comedian Ursus Wehrli, known for his surreal and humorous attempts to 'tidy up' the world, has created a new performance commissioned by Svizzera Turismo. In the video, Wehrli arranges colorful autumn leaves into a 10-meter by 2-meter installation at Rieterpark in Zurich, echoing the practice documented in his 2013 book The Art of Clean Up (Chronicle Books). The performance lasted one day, after which the leaves were scattered again to avoid harming the park's ecosystem. Wehrli explains that tidying objects gives him a different perspective, which is why the idea of autumn leaves fascinated him.
