URLO Studio Completes Mocolí Sports Complex in Ecuador

URLO Studio has realized the Mocolí Sports Complex on Mocolí Island in Samborondón, Ecuador, completing the project in 2022. The architectural design, curated by Valentina Díaz, encompasses a communal house and sports fields across an area of 8,772 square meters. Photographic documentation of the built work was handled by JAG Studio. A primary pavilion is organized orthogonally within the complex, establishing deliberate visual and functional connections between different programmatic elements. The architects aimed for an efficient, sober aesthetic that also fulfills practical requirements. This approach results in a design that is both visually appealing and highly functional.
