Untitled Art Houston Adds Four New Prizes for Second Edition

Untitled Art Houston, set to launch in 2025, will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center from October 2 to 4, 2026. This event will introduce four fresh awards for artists and exhibitors, amounting to a total of $113,200. New sponsors include the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center ($20,000), Public Art of the University of Houston System ($25,000), Hotel Daphne ($30,000 to $50,000), and Houston Grand Opera ($7,500 to $10,000). Continuing from the inaugural event are the PAC Art Residency Prize and the Casa Santa Ana Residency Prize, awarded last year to Teresa Serrano and Ana Villagomez. Additional prizes for 2025 will feature the Hotel Lucine Artist Retreat Prize and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston Commission Prize. Michael Slenske emphasized that these collaborations benefit artists.
