Unplugged: Four Artists Show Without Curator at Atipografia in Arzignano

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Elena Dal Molin, founder of Atipografia, debuts as gallerist with 'Unplugged' at the recently renovated space in Arzignano, which now adds gallery activity to its cultural association work since 2014. The exhibition, conceived directly by the four artists without a curator, aims to foster a concrete relationship between artwork and space, breaking down physical and conceptual barriers. Artists include Gregorio Botta (Naples, 1953), Mirko Baricchi (La Spezia, 1970), Mattia Bosco (Milan, 1976), and Mats Bergquist (Stockholm, 1960). Botta's works use basic materials like iron, lead, glass, wax, and alabaster, with 'Carro di Ofelia' (2022) referencing Millais's painting, and 'Muta' (2019) featuring a Tibetan bell suspended in water. Baricchi presents immersive paintings like 'Oltre la Selva' (2022) that map vegetal landscapes. Bosco's sculptures, such as 'Sezione Aurea BS1' and 'Sezione Aurea BS2' (2022), contrast rough and polished stone. Bergquist, inspired by Russian and Coptic icon traditions, creates works like 'Till Lucia' (2022) and 'La Suite di Brigida' (2018) through layered and polished wood. The exhibition runs at Atipografia in Arzignano, Vicenza province.
