Universal Space NoD Emerges as Prague's Multifunctional Art Center
In September 2000, Universal Space NoD (No Dimensions) was established above the Roxy Klub in Prague, spearheaded by Kristof Kintera and supported by the Linhart Foundation, Jan Mayer, and Vladimír Lima. This venue stands as the first independent cultural hub for youth, fostering experimental culture across fine arts, theatre, film, and new media. Its amenities feature a theatre with a sky dome, a media lab dedicated to an internet magazine, a cinema showcasing independent films, and a gallery for both local and international artists. Additionally, a cafe/media lab and two gallery spaces have attracted public attention. Plans for 2001 include the introduction of a bookshop and a performance area, aiming to engage the international community while catering to Czech university art students.
