United Overseas Bank Hong Kong launches 2018 UOB Art in Ink Awards with theme 'Connectivity'
Today, United Overseas Bank Hong Kong has introduced the 2018 UOB Art in Ink Awards, designed to promote ink art appreciation and assist local talents. The competition comprises three categories: Established Artist, Emerging Artist, and Most Promising Artist for participants aged 9 to 17. Those who win in the Established Artist category will earn a scholarship for an international art residency. This year's theme, 'Connectivity', invites artists to delve into various connections in modern life, including digital interactions and ties to nature. Additionally, a community outreach initiative will feature ink art workshops in Hong Kong's primary and secondary schools, conducted by local artists. The judging panel includes notable figures such as Johnson Chang, Chui Pui Chee, He Baili, Calvin Hui, Olivia Wang, and Zheng Chongbin. Applications must be submitted by 12 September 2018.
