Uniqlo Launches Doraemon Meets the Louvre T-Shirt Collection

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Japanese retailer Uniqlo has launched a new line of T-shirts titled Doraemon Meets the Louvre, featuring the beloved manga character Doraemon and his friend Nobita interacting with masterpieces from the Louvre Museum. The collection includes four short-sleeve designs, notably one inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, where Doraemon and Nobita appear as visitors, and another reimagining Johannes Vermeer's The Astronomer, with Doraemon using a futuristic gadget. The collaboration coincides with the release of the new film Doraemon: Nobita's Art World Tales in Japanese theaters, which centers on art. Doraemon was created by Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko, known collectively as Fujiko Fujio. The collection was previewed with a short film.
