Unimatic Launches MoMA-Inspired Limited Edition Watches
Italian watch brand Unimatic, founded in 2015 by industrial designers Simone Nunziato and Giovanni Moro, has released a new model celebrating New York's Museum of Modern Art. The 67-piece limited edition watches draw inspiration from MoMA ticket colors, featuring vibrant dials with geometric shapes instead of numerals and luminescent details. Each numbered piece ensures authenticity and collectibility, with the MoMA logo placed at the bottom of the dial. The watches, priced around €700, are available exclusively at MoMA Design Store locations in Midtown and SoHo, as well as online. Co-founder Giovanni Moro cited his first MoMA ticket as the concept's inspiration, emphasizing the design team's effort to capture the museum's essence through clean, recognizable style and immediate legibility.
