UNIA arteypensamiento Partners with Afterall Journal Issue 23

Launched in 2001, UNIA arteypensamiento, a project from the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía in Seville, teamed up with Afterall journal starting with issue 22. The focus is on how contemporary art interacts with various social, political, economic, and cultural contexts. This initiative aims to spark meaningful conversations and processes instead of simply glorifying art objects. By taking an interdisciplinary route, it connects artists with outside projects through seminars, workshops, online platforms, and film series. The 23rd issue, published on April 3, 2010, features essays by Miguel A. López on Latin American Conceptualism and Lucy Reynolds on British Expanded Cinema, along with insights on Carl Einstein and Georges Didi-Huberman, highlighting artists like Babette Mangolte and Trinh T. Minh-ha.
