Under:tones Release New Single 'Dreaming (Wide Awake)' Ahead of 2026 Album

On August 1, 2025, the electronic duo under:tones—comprising Alex Neri and Matteo Zarcone, co-founder and drummer of Planet Funk respectively—released their new single 'Dreaming (Wide Awake)' via the newly founded label Through the Void Records. The track features British singer-songwriter Sonny Reeves and serves as a prelude to their second album 'Encounters,' scheduled for 2026. The album was recorded between Florence, London, and Los Angeles, and will include ten tracks blending European electronic music, pop elements, and West Coast harmonies. Each song will be accompanied by a custom interactive visual created by a team of artists. The music video for the single, directed and edited by Cristina Principe with visual effects by Francesco Taddeucci and Valerio Gamboni, follows an adolescent protagonist navigating expectations and dreams in a society that measures everything. Zarcone previously previewed a track from the album, 'Int (Dentro),' at the Vox Marmoris festival in Carrara, performing a DJ set in virtual reality in collaboration with AlphaTheta and Tribe XR, merging physical instruments with virtual controllers.
