Uncurated Exhibition in Unfinished Rome House Features 29 Artists Over Three Days

exhibition · 2026-04-20

In December 2014, ArtReview published an article about the exhibition There Is No Place Like Home, which took place over three days in September 2014 at an unfinished residence on Rome's Via Aurelia. This noncurated event showcased the work of 29 artists across two levels and was directed by Stanislao Di Giugno, Giuseppe Pietroniro, Marco Raparelli, and Alessandro Cicoria. Among the featured artists were Daniele Genadry, Thomas Hutton, Flavio Favelli, and Alessandro Piangiamore. The house's architecture prompted reflections on the concepts of space and home. Highlights included Cicoria's Untitled (2014), Hutton's Hearth (2014), and Favelli's Come into My Life (2014). The opening featured a performance by the Milan duo Goldiechiari with Medusa Black Mirror (2014).
